A familiar Christow landmark to many has been demolished in the past week. The Christow Garage which has stood empty and preserved in time for many years has been torn down to make way for a pair of new houses. Plans to develop the site were first submitted to the Dartmoor National Park Authority back in 1994. After years of objections and reworking the work to clear the site has begun.
